Bluetooth

Bluetooth is a type of radio technology which has a short range and is aimed at specifically simplifying the communications made among the internet devices. They also facilitate communication between the internet and other devices. Bluetooth also aims to make the synchronization of data simpler between other computers and internet devices. All Bluetooth technology products must first pass a rigoourous interoperability testing and be qualified by Bluetooth Special Interest Group before it is released to the market. Some of the founding members of the Bluetooth technology include IBM, Intel, Toshiba, Nokia and Ericson

Bluetooth was specifically designed to facilitate wireless connections on low bandwidth to make them easy to use, which makes it easy to seamlessly integrate into someone's life. One of the best examples of these applications is updating phone directories from a mobile phone. It is possible to manually enter phone numbers and names of a user's contacts or use an IR link/cable between the computer and phone, which would thereby start up an application that will synchronize the contact information. Bluetooth enables all this to happen automatically without user involvement, presuming the phone is in the range of a computer.

Bluetooth specification is governed by the Bluetooth Special Interest Group. Bluetooth is a communications and standards protocol, which is designed primarily for low rates of power consumption, this it does in short ranges like the power class dependent; one, ten and a hundred meters, which is based on a cheaper transceiver microchips for each device. Bluetooth basically enables the communication between these devices if they are in range. One notable thing about the devices is that they able to communicate amongst themselves even when they are not within each others sight this is made possible with the fact that they use radio communications.

There are so many Bluetooth applications available today .One of the most popular one is the fact that Bluetooth facilitates wireless communication and control between a head set, which is hands free and a mobile phone. It also boosts wireless networking that is between the computer that is in a confined space and in areas where minimal bandwidth is required and also the wireless communication of a computer out put and input devices such as the printer, keyboard and mouse. Bluetooth also enables the transfer of contact details, files, reminders and calendar appointments between the devices that have OBEX. Bluetooth technology replaces the traditional serial wired communications, which is in GPS receivers, devices, which control the traffic, test equipment, bar coded scanners and medical equipment.

Bluetooth is used for controls, which traditionally used infrared. Bluetooth applications, which does not require a higher Universal serial bass bandwidth or a connection, which is cable free is desired. Bluetooth technology sends small advertisements right from the advertising hoardings, which are Bluetooth enabled to other Bluetooth devices, which have been discovered. It also facilitates the dial up network access on the PDAs or computer by the use of a mobile phone, which is data capable like a modem.
